DXA has a very simple Monetate Data Connector that will be able to identify pages with Monetate variations and then pull these into the app, along with segments that you create in Monetate.
Enabling the Monetate data connection
To enable this option, simply navigate to Connect > Configure Data Connectors > Split Testing > Monetate and tick the Monetate Enabled checkbox, before clicking Save. You will then need to contact your Monetate account manager to finalise the data connection, before DXA will begin to collect Monetate variations on pages where both Monetate and DXA are present, along with any segments that you have created.
Note: The Monetate Data Connector does not work retroactively as it requires us to collect and aggregate the variations each time the script is fired.
Using Monetate Variations and Segments
Upon collecting Monetate variations and segments, you can begin to use these by creating Segments based on them.
When creating a segment, in Segment Filters, click on the Integrations tab and navigate to Monetate Variation or Monetate Segment and use the text box to search for a variation or segment, such as in the image below.
